Budapest blonde bombshell Linda Zimany won Saturday night’s 2013 Tropic Beauty Model Search world finals at MGM Grand, and she received my vote as one of the judges.
The 6-foot, 23-year-old Hungarian model defeated 99 other contestants from as far away as Australia, Colombia, Peru, England and France, as well as several U.S. finalists. Two Las Vegas winners, Jennifer DeCillis from a contest at 1OAK in The Mirage and Brittany Parks from a preliminary at the Hard Rock Hotel, made the Top 30.
The surprise of the night, though, went to Debbie O’Toole, a model from Manchester, England. She placed in the Top Six, then ran from the stage right after Linda’s crowning to get married in an MGM Grand chapel.
Debbie and an executive at beauty company Pevonia, one of the sponsors, fell for each other just five days ago when they met at the first welcome cocktail party!
Our thanks to Marshall Bradford of Donoghue Photography for his photo gallery of Saturday’s finals. We’ll have all the pageant photos, from the parades in bikinis and national costumes, right here at Vegas DeLuxe on Monday.
