Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash at intersection

A 63-year-old Las Vegas man is in critical condition after his motorcycle and a Mercury sedan collided Saturday night at Desert Inn Road and Nellis Boulevard.

Metro Police officials said the accident occurred just after 10 p.m. The motorcyclist was traveling east on Desert Inn Road when the westbound sedan tried to turn left onto Nellis Boulevard.

The motorcyclist was taken to Sunrise Hospital's Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries.

Metro Police are investigating the collision.
