The Las Vegas Film Festival will return to LVH this summer for its sixth annual installment running July 18-21. This year’s festival will showcase new works in features, documentaries and shorts from around the world.

Nevada student filmmakers also will have the opportunity to screen their work at College Screenings Showcase on the festival’s opening day. The work of other Nevada filmmakers will be screened at an afternoon showcase July 21.

The festival’s film highlights include:

“Sanitarium” — a twisted psychological thriller starring Robert Englund (“Nightmare on Elm Street”), Lacey Chabert (“Mean Girls”) and Malcolm McDowell (“A Clockwork Orange”).

“Magic Camp” — a fun and quirky documentary that looks into teens obsessed with magic, directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Judd Ehrlich.

“Raze” — a frightening horror/action film starring Zoe Bell (Quentin Tarantino’s “Death Proof”) and Rachel Nichols (“G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra”).

“Of By For” — A thrilling documentary examining money in politics and broken promises on the campaign trail, featuring Dan Rather, Newt Gingrich and many other influential figures of the political process.

“Down and Dangerous” — a crime drama starring Judd Nelson (“The Breakfast Club”) and two UNLV graduates, John T. Woods and Ernest Curcio.

In addition to film screenings, the festival will host a number of events over its four days, including panels, premiere parties, dinners, a screenplay competition and a closing-night award reception.

The festival also will host a dinner to benefit the Las Vegas Film Festival Scholarship Fund, which supports emerging filmmakers and their projects.

Tickets for individual film screenings start at $10. Fans also can purchase a $75 festival pass for access to all films and panels or a $200 VIP pass, which includes priority admission to all films, panels, seminars, parties and other special events, as well as a gift bag.
