6 taken to hospital after SUV rolls over on 215 Beltway

Vehicle rollover

A single-vehicle rollover Sunday has closed two lanes of eastbound traffic on the 215 Beltway and sent six people to the hospital.

A 1997 Ford SUV rolled over at 12:12 p.m. Sunday near the Decatur Boulevard exit, said Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson. Six passengers were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, Hixson said.

The accident closed the two left lanes of the 215 Beltway, but they should be opened soon, Hixson said.

  1. It's turning into an epidemic...

Can't people exercise ANY semblance of common sense & good judgement?

Selfishly driving with a complete & utter lack of regard for anyone...

Tunnel vision for their next fleeting moment of self-satisfaction & running 5 minutes late; 'get out of MY WAY!'

  2. gmag39... Not that I don't agree with you that many drivers in Las Vegas seem to have obtained a license from a box of cracker jacks, but ...

... would it be wiser to actually wait for the "cause of accident" report before commenting as to the cause?

Could have been a medical episode, a dog running on the freeway, a pothole, a blown tire (very easy to tip a SUV on a blown tire) .... could have been any number of things... just saying.
