Criss Angel is at it again. Following last month’s live spectacle on Fremont Street, in which the Luxor headliner escaped a web of falling swords released by onlookers, Angel is inviting the public to join him as he attempts to cheat death again in a blindfolded beam walk illusion at Fashion Show Mall on Saturday.

The free event, being filmed as part of Angel’s upcoming Spike TV series “Criss Angel BeLIEve,” will feature Angel more than 50 feet above the ground as he attempts to cross a steel I-beam with a large gap in the middle while blindfolded. The performance gets underway at 2 p.m. across from The Runway.

The illusion was originally scheduled for last month at Festival Park, across from the Luxor, but was canceled because of high winds.

Angel’s TV show is set to debut in October and will feature the magician performing a different boundary-pushing illusion before crowds every week; the show is also purported to reveal the creative process behind the illusions and give viewers a look at how Angel and his team brainstorm, design and execute each feat.
