Two home runs from Andrew Brown not enough for 51s in loss to Tacoma

Andrew Brown slugged two home runs Monday for the Las Vegas 51s in a 10-7 loss to visiting Tacoma at Cashman Field in the first game of the Las Vegas leg of an eight-game home-and-home series with the Rainiers.

With the 51s trailing 9-2, they scored three runs in the sixth inning on a two-run home run from Brown and a solo home run from Wilmer Flores. Brown also hit a solo home run in the first.

Brown was 3-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs, Rylan Sandoval scored two runs and Eric Campbell had an RBI triple.

Tacoma scored in each of the initial four innings and extended its lead to seven runs in the top of the sixth on a three-run home run from Carlos Peguero. Peguero had five RBIs.

The series continues at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Cashman Field. Tacoma leads the series 3-2, with teams splitting four games in Tacoma before the series shifted to Las Vegas.
