51s remain in first place by beating Sacramento

Jordany Valdespin had three runs and three hits Saturday for the Las Vegas 51s in a 9-4 victory against visiting Sacramento at Cashman Field, breaking a tie between the teams for first place in the Pacific Coast League’s Pacific Southern Division.

Matt den Dekker had three RBIs for Las Vegas, including a run-scoring single in a four-run second inning. Zach Lutz and Juan Centeno each added a pair of hits for Las Vegas, which moved into sole possession of first place ahead of Sacramento. Tucson is two games back.

Las Vegas and Sacramento play a doubleheader starting at 5 p.m. Sunday at Cashman Field.
