The Las Vegas 51s completed a four-game sweep of the Reno Aces Thursday, using a leadoff home run from Mike Baxter to open the game in a 5-3 victory at Cashman Field.
Reno had runners on first and third with no outs in the ninth inning, but couldn’t cut into its deficit.
Baxter finished 2-for-5 with two runs scored, Ruben Tejada had two hits and two runs scored, and Jordany Valdespin went 2-for-4 with a RBI.
The 51s won seven of eight games against the Aces to open the second-half of the season in an eight-game home-and-home series.
Las Vegas returns to action at 7:05 p.m. Friday against visiting Sacramento.
