Accident
An 8-year-old boy riding a bicycle collided with a pickup truck Monday evening in a residential neighborhood, Metro Police said.
The accident happened about 6:40 p.m. near the intersection of Woodfield Drive and Minden Way in the northeast valley, just north of Sahara Avenue.
The preliminary investigation indicates the boy rode his bike into the 2012 Dodge Ram pickup truck, Lt. Dan Zhender said. The bike hit the left side of the truck, police said.
The boy was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
