51s squandered lead at Tucson with two outs in the ninth

The Las Vegas 51s gave up a pair of runs Friday with two outs in the ninth inning in falling to the host Tucson Padres, 3-2.

Mike Wilson’s two-run single plated the winning runs for Tucson, which moves to two-and-a-half games ahead of the 51s in the Pacific Coast League’s Pacific Southern standings.

Las Vegas managed just four hits, and just one came after the third inning. Zach Lutz had a run-scoring single in the third inning and double in the ninth.

Ruben Tejada scored the other Las Vegas run on a wild pitch in the first inning.

The series continues Saturday in Tucson.
