The stalking order didn’t work.

A 22-year-old woman who was ordered to stay away from her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend is now in jail, accused of trying to kill her in March.

Teakila Hall was arrested Monday and has been charged with attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon, fourth-degree arson and malicious injury to a vehicle, according to a criminal complaint filed last month.

The alleged crime happened March 15 in a Denny’s parking lot at 7341 W. Lake Mead Blvd., according to an arrest report released Tuesday, which outlines the following chain of events:

The victim was waiting in the restaurant’s parking lot to pick up her boyfriend, Adrian Lynch, who was with his children and Hall at a nearby Chuck E. Cheese’s.

The new girlfriend parked at Denny’s to avoid conflict with Hall, the mother of Lynch’s children, because the two had prior incidents. As a result, a stalking order had been served against Hall, who was ordered to stay 100 feet away from the victim.

Hall followed Lynch to Denny’s, however, and began to pound on the victim’s vehicle, chipping glass and creating a large dent.

Hall eventually moved to the back of the vehicle, removed the gas cap and tried to ignite the gasoline with a lighter. The victim called 911 and Hall fled.

She didn’t stop there, though.

In the days and weeks after the incident at Denny’s, Hall sent the victim a series of threatening text messages, including this one on April 30: “(Expletive) I am kill you.”

Based on the event circumstances and text messages, detectives determined Hall intended to ignite the victim’s gas tank to seriously injure or kill her.

Hall, who also goes by the name Teakila Marshall, remains in the Clark County Detention Center without bail, according to jail records. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 17.
