The winner of the January Smithereens Cartoon Caption Contest is “They’ll be OK. Unlike us, they’ve all got golden parachutes,” submitted by Darthfrodo.

When Congress goes over a cliff, you want to say: "They'll be OK. Unlike us, they've all got golden parachutes."
That's the winning caption — with 42 percent of the vote — in the January edition of the Smithereens Cartoon Caption Contest, submitted by website user Darthfrodo, who will get a signed copy of the cartoon.
In second place was Chumley's submission: "They took the bailout," which recieved 31 percent of the vote.
Phillye2000 takes third place with 10 percent of the vote for "And they said this was a do-nothing Congress."
"See! It doesn't matter. Neither Red nor Blue Bull gives you wings!" submitted by db918 takes fourth with 9 percent of the votes.
And Eduardo Buller takes fifth place with 8 percent of the votes for "Let's wait and see how they filibuster their way out of this one."
