For years Jim McCarty hid whatever troubles that may have weighed on him behind the rhythms of normalcy. He lived in a single-story home with his wife and her two children at 2225 La Sombra Street, an aging residential neighborhood. Neighbors say he never missed a day of work as a tractor-trailer driver, leaving each morning at 7 a.m. and coming home at 5 p.m. like clockwork. 38 and 41 and living with mom? Unemployed because of a recent layoff or just unemployed?
Just snapped? Sounds like this was building up and wasn't just a snap event but a culmination event.
Since he survived hopefully the authorities can piece together what caused this before the lawyers jump in.
tragic...No reason to take innocent people down with you. If you are that unhappy with life, take your own.
It never has to get to this...just walk away and start a new life. It might not be the most popular decision at the time, but it's much better than this. Walk away, move, start a new life, no matter what your age or circumstances, including health and finances. It's better than this tragedy.
How sad and unfortunate. I would hope that funding for advanced mental health care is forthcoming.
BTW, what ever happened in the recent case of the Metro Officer who killed his wife and their kids? Counseling would have seem to have been indicated there to?
