For groups of visitors traveling to Las Vegas, renting a home for a few days or a week in a residential neighborhood can be a cost-effective alternative to staying at a hotel on the Strip. A quick Google search turns up hundreds of vacation homes for rent, with daily and weekly rates listed. The only catch: Renting property for less than a month is illegal under Clark County code. you fool...people are trying to survive and you tell them what to do with their property. This is preventive detention. If they want to rent their house for a day or hour, that is their business . and people that rent for a year trash their houses as well.
I understand the stigma of "Party Houses" but I think the media is putting that label on vacation rentals for sensationalism. I've rented vacation rentals in other cities and they're great; their owners love their houses and don't want parties or damage to their property any more than anyone else. I know people who have rented these houses, they are nice families that bring their friends and children out to a safe non-offensive environment and have a nice vacation. If we get rid of nice quiet places to stay, then we'll loose that segment of visitors - not everyone loves the strip! And again, vacation rentals do not equal party houses!
