Man, 78, injured when hit outside crosswalk on Spring Mountain Road

Pedestrian struck

A 78-year-old man is in critical condition after he was struck by a car Saturday while crossing Spring Mountain Road outside a marked crosswalk.

Metro Police officials said the crash occurred around 9:51 p.m. Witnesses statements indicated that the man was crossing Spring Mountain Road near Stober Boulevard when he was struck by a westbound Honda Civic.

Police said the man was taken to University Medical Center and was in critical condition. The crash remains under investigation.
