Driver hurt in crash

A 22-year-old man is in critical condition after losing control of his car and crashing into a power box and light pole Sunday morning near Buffalo Drive and Gilmore Avenue.
Metro Police officials said the crash occurred around 5:25 a.m. Police said the man was driving north on Buffalo Drive when he lost control of the car, which began sliding sideways. The car slid across the southbound lanes and struck a power box and light pole.
Police said the driver was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries. The crash is under investigation.
