A light sprinkle of rain fell throughout the Las Vegas Valley on Thursday morning as the first of two expected storms passes through.
The first storm is expected to bring continuous light rain and slippery conditions throughout the valley through early afternoon, Las Vegas National Weather Service meteorologist Chris Stumps said.
Heavier rain is predicted in Summerlin.
A second band of rain should pass through the valley late Friday night and not move out until Saturday morning, Stumps said.
Rain accumulation is predicted to be no more than 1/10 of an inch at McCarran International Airport, Stumps said. Motorists should be aware of gusty winds and slippery roads, he said.
