Police find more than $600,000 of marijuana plants at man’s home

A 55-year-old man is facing federal narcotics charges after authorities on Nov. 5 found more than $600,000 worth of marijuana plants and 21 firearms at his home, Metro Police said.

David Allen Garretson of Las Vegas faces charges of conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance, manufacture of a controlled substance, maintaining a drug-involved premises, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, prohibited person in possession of a firearm and aiding and abetting, police said.

Garretson was arrested by members of a task force of officers from Metro Police, the Drug Enforcement Administration and Henderson Police.
