President Barack Obama will be coming to Las Vegas on Tuesday, according to the White House.
No details about the purpose of the visit — or whether Vegas would be the only stop on his itinerary — were immediately available.
But the president has spent the first days of his second term promoting his agenda for the next four years.
Immigration and clean energy are two issues of interest in Nevada that Democrats heavily campaigned on in the last election. Those issues and gun control are matters to which the president has given the most attention in the new year.
Obama visited Nevada 10 times during the 2012 election. Vice President Joe Biden and First Lady Michelle Obama also campaigned here.
Obama won Nevada, beating Republican challenger Mitt Romney by almost seven points in November. The trip is the first of his second term, which officially began on Jan. 20.
The only thing this guy does is campaign and vacation. Stay in DC and do what you get paid for. This guy can't spell leadership, he has none.

President Obama's critical leadership error during his first year was pursuing the health care law at the expense of focusing on the economy while he had a super-majority and a "honeymoon". It has hurt the average Joe more than anyone can imagine.
Now, instead of spending time on something that matters (you pick one), he's running around spewing gun-control drivel. Once again, he's wasting time and effort that could be spent more wisely elsewhere.
Stay home, Mr. President. We simply don't care anymore.

The sooner the Commander-in-Thief spends the rest of our tax money, the sooner this whole corrupt system will crash to the ground. I'm rooting for that outcome now. Who needs the hypocrite? When the guy with the Cheshire Cat grin, empty rhetoric and failed policies arrives, it will be with scores of armed individuals to protect his sorry ass. Yet, the cretin wants the general public to be disarmed so they can be vunerable to the criminal element. No doubt, the productive class in America got hosed by the parasitic class during the last election and, as a nation of laws, we have to live with it. But we don't have to like it! And, in particular, we don't have to like or respect him!
Just one look at the vote totals for the last two presidential elections and it's clear that Las Vegans heart President Obama! That's why he's always welcomed to the Entertainment Capital of the World!
Bishop Willard, on the other hand, is despised in the valley except by his fellow Mormons, aka non-gamblers, non-fun seekers and non-drinkers (including coffee. How is that even possible?). Not that there's anything wrong with that but the day that Vegas becomes more like Salt Lake City is the day we turn off the bright neon lights and call it quits.
I hear he's acoming to ram-down his vision of the "right things to do." Nevada (and the nation) is clearly AGAINST any form of amnesty. We need to recoup the massive costs of federal-failure-to-enforce immigration laws and forcing locals to pick up the tab for K-12 for upwards of 50,000 illegal students in CCSD, for the stolen health care costs, for the stolen housing, for the crime for cash, for the $50,000 A DAY it costs us to keep illegals in Nevada prisons, more for jail/law enforcement/prosecution.... The RIGHT THING to do: ENFORCE our immigration laws and EXPEL illegals. INVESTIGATE EMPLOYERS and fine them when employing illegals. ID THEFT by illegals stealing our jobs, our economy, our cultures.
Nevada is AGAINST any form of amnesty according to recent media polling--2/3 want them OUT OF HERE. The politico / media spin that VOTERS want them is ABSURD. 2/3 want them gone so who are these mythic voters that want reform. Yes, we want the type of REFORM THAT ENFORCES SECURE BORDERS. A few decades ago we fell for that federal politico hype that they'd secure the border as soon as we agreed to leave those here illegally. BUT THEY DIDN'T and now they want to try the same lies again. Connect the dots: leaving them here several decades ago has dragged down our economy by forcing taxpayers to pay for millions of illegals: K-12, food, clothing, medical care, housing, Christmas assistance via non-profits, crime against us since they keep taking everything we have.

Instead of having to hassle with these elections every 4 years I think that Obama should be made President for Life. He is doing a very good job.

LastThroes: You are the one who sounds racist. Illegals are not exclusively Hispanic. Further, many many from "Latin" America are not Brown. Many are of European descent. Last: Ever hear of illegal Nigerians (many violent, came over on student Visas) or the Asians who have Birthing Houses in the Bay area so their kids can claim birth-rite citizenship.

Even President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who was in office 12 years from 1933 to 1945, was on vacation less days than President Bush at 958 days. Calls to several Presidential Libraries reveal that no President can come close to Bush's 1,020 days on vacation in an 8 year period. Even Lyndon Johnson, who spent 484 days at his ranch in Texas and at Camp David during his presidency, came in under Bush's vacation time. Some claim the cost of Bush's frequent trips to Crawford, Texas cost taxpayers upwards of $20 million, but the numbers are hard to confirm.
A recession started in 2001 as Bush took office after 22 million jobs were created during the Clinton Administration from 1993 to 2000. Bush began wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and presided over the loss of 4 million jobs. The debt when Bush left office was $10.6 trillion.
