CARSON CITY — Nevada Assemblyman Steve Brooks, accused of threatening Democratic Speaker Marilyn Kirkpatrick, has been hospitalized in Las Vegas for digestive bleeding, according to his lawyer. "His mood is very positive. He certainly feels like he hasn't done anything illegal," lawyer Mitchell Posin told the Las Vegas Sun. Brooks had been scheduled to address the charges against him at a news conference Tuesday morning in Carson City. He had told reporters he planned to be in Carson City today for an orientation meeting on the state budget. Posin said it's unlikely Brooks will make that meeting because of his medical condition.

And the plot takes a strange twist....
Who is the victim? Mr. Brooks or the people who were threaten by Mr. Brooks?
Is the hospital the best place, or a jail cell? How would another person be treated in a case like this?
