Coroner: Metro officer committed suicide; gunshot to head killed wife, child

A Metro Police officer apparently shot and killed his 46-year-old wife and 5-year-old child on Monday, then committed suicide by shooting himself. The Clark County Coroner’s Office announced Tuesday afternoon that Kathryn Michelle Walters and Maximilian Walters each died from a gunshot wound to the head. The coroner said the manner of their deaths was homicide. Hans Pieter Walters, 52, also died from a gunshot wound to the head, and the coroner listed his cause of death as suicide. Not to be snotty, but I wonder if this gets a review by Metro, or if it is Henderson PD...I guess it was off duty. This is a homicide or a murder suicide, and it certainly is tragic for the wife and kid. Not that it is any excuse, but I wonder if we will see prescription pill use in this situation? Also I wonder if there was any previous spousal abuse allegations involving this cop.

People with serious depression often have feelings of anguish, desolation, dejection is most likely to commit suicide, and many more attempt it: and others become depressed if their expectations are not met will eventually admit into mental institutions. While there is an investigation going on we don't know exactly what really happened and we have to hold judgment until the truth comes out.
