A woman and two dogs were displaced from their Henderson home this morning after the garage caught fire, Henderson Fire Department Battalion Chief Scott Satterlee said.
The woman was awakened by the sound of her smoke detector alarm going off and alerted the fire department, Satterlee said. Firefighters arrived about 1:40 a.m. at the home near Pecos Road and Wigwam Parkway.
They located the fire inside the wall of the garage and extinguished it, Satterlee said. No one was injured.
Henderson Fire investigators have not determined the cause for the fire.
