Obama, MLK linked by divine providence?

When Martin Luther King Jr. made his most famous speech during the Great March on Washington in 1963, Barack Hussein Obama was 2 years and 24 days old. Obama was only 6 when King was assassinated in 1968. So, except through reading history, and perhaps taking some black studies classes, the man who would become the first black president of the United States didn’t know King like those born a generation earlier. Some have argued that because of the time and place of his birth (in Hawaii in 1961), Obama never experienced the overt, de jure discrimination that King fought ...

  1. Coincidence, most defintely. President Obama is no Dr. King. Oh, right...I forgot, President Obama is using Dr. King's Bible for the inauguration. And Lincoln's Bible too. Does that make the three men connected by providence? Only in the Biblical sense that we are ALL brothers and sisters of the Divine Master.

  2. BTW columnist, the Mayan calender predicted the world would end on my birthday in 2012. Does that make me a Mayan god? Fortunately it didn't [end] and I had quite another reason to especially enjoy my birthday celebration, other than the most obvious: I am older rather than dead.

  3. Here we go. Letter writer find another story because this one is out of line. Barrack Obama will never be Martin Lutther King, not even close.

I do wonder though if its divine providence that King was a Republican and Obama a democrat. Who would you follow?

  4. It is important to realize that an important aspect of "Divide and Conquer" by the INSIDERS is to promote racial hatred and racial collectivism. Here is an article that was published in our local ESTABLISHMENT newspaper, owned by Brian Greenspun, member of the Board of Trustees of the Brookings Institution, an elitist, policymaking think tank in Washington, DC, connected to the INSIDERS. 5. Using those Bibles were more about intentional planning than that of Divine providence. In our physical existence in this dimension, there appears to be many interesting "coincidences" that get our attention. Some speak prophetic words that are then scoffed, and later recognized. This, my friends, is how life goes.

Glad we are living to see it!

  6. I believe Dr King would disapprove of the presidents conduct & give him a stern dressing down in private conversation.
