5 Sandoval goals that might cause him problems in Legislature

Gov. Brian Sandoval has done his best to avoid a combative legislative session that will likely come to define his re-election campaign. He came out early to say he would once again extend temporary tax increases set to expire this year — eliminating a battle that dominated budget discussions two years ago. And he announced he would expand Medicaid just as Democrats began ramping up a push to persuade him to do it. But that doesn’t mean his agenda he detailed Wednesday in his State of the State address will necessarily be met with open arms by the Democratic majority ...

  1. As soon as people start seeing government money going to the "Black Panther Academy" "The La Raza School" "The Aryan School for Youth" The Militia Teaparty Academy" etc., the idea will die. People can open up all kinds of private nutty schools and ask for government money.

  2. Tax money to Mormon schools is a deal breaker for me.

  3. Full day kindergarten. What's that--4 hours with 16-18 students? Not much of a work load for the teachers.
