New head of Nevada Housing Division is named

Jim deProsse, head of the state Manufactured Housing Division, is moving over to become administrator of the state Housing Division.

DeProsse replaces Charles Horsey, who retired after 30 years with the division.

The appointment was made Monday by Bruce Breslow, director of the state Department of Business and Industry, which oversees both divisions.

DeProsse's current salary will rise from $85,579 to $95,453.

Breslow said deProsse "brings more than 20 years of senior management leadership experience developing and leading effective organizational teams."

The housing division provides low-interest mortgages and down-payment assistance to qualifying individuals and arranges funding for affordable multifamily housing developments for seniors and families.

Ne replacement was named for deProsse.
