An elderly adult who went missing from his home in the northwest valley early Thursday has been located, Metro Police reported.
Officials said Dale DeWoody, 78, was found Friday morning in his 1999 GMC pickup, which stopped near Interstate 215 and Jones Boulevard after running out of gas. DeWoody had last been seen about 7 a.m. Thursday at his residence, near the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Town Center Drive.
Police asked for the public’s assistance in locating DeWoody on Thursday.
The founder of the Nevada Center for Missing Loved Ones, Frank Mahoney, who was in the area assisting in the search by distributing fliers about DeWoody, saw the vehicle and found him inside, according to police.
