Coroner IDs 83-year-old woman killed crossing street

The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified an elderly woman who died Thursday after being hit by a pickup truck while crossing the street.

Doris Stoehr, 83, was crossing Decatur Boulevard north of Vegas Drive about 10:20 a.m. when she was struck by a southbound 1998 Isuzu Hombre pickup truck, according to Metro Police.

Stoehr, who was not in a crosswalk, was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, police said.

This is the fifth traffic fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction this year. The coroner has yet to release the official cause of death.
