President Barack Obama promised immigration reform leaders that their cause would top his second-term agenda, making January their month. By far the most pressing issue facing this nation is the debt and deficit both of which will not be addressed because of this inept administration. The Democratic Senate led by Harry Reid has not passed a budget in over 1300 days, not doing what the law says is to be done.

The post @ 6:50 is BS. The quote attributed to Thomas Jefferson was not his but has been making the rounds in emails. Jefferson is a popular Founding Father among teabaggers and they constantly put words in his mouth that support their own twisted views. A quick google search will disprove their lies.

We can do more than on thing at a time. For instance we can solve the immigration problem and the water problem at the same time by having undocumented aliens bring in 2 gallons of water each when the arrived and dump it in Lake Mead, that would top off the lake in no time.

As a Republican, I applaud the administration wasting time, hopefully as much as possible, on the gun issue. Protip: You are going to get nothing. But, we will get the delay from your other stupid ideas.

Gun control is about controlling morons who go out and indiscriminately kill people. Close the gun show loophole and possibly tax ammunition heavily and we should be all set. Law abiding gun owners aren't the problem.

When Obama's DOJ walked 2000 assault rifles across the border resulting in 300 dead mexicans this wasn't a problem.

He'd have better luck rounding up and deporting the 20 million illegals than trying to round up the 200 million+ guns in this country.

This is what's wrong with all these comments....There is NO national gun law and currently NO way to track them as they travel from state to state. Immigration is the same, NO national tracking system.These figures of "just about" how many are in this country...how did they arrive at that number? Since for the most part they're underground and not paying taxes for obvious reasons how did they manage to count them in the so called total. Oh that's right, I almost forget about the recent census. Like they really took part in that.How do you secure the border? If they're coming across,so are the drugs,the guns and god knows what. A hard working illegal is the least of the problem,but still a problem none the less along with everything else that comes across the border into this country.

We could do that, but I like the psychological testing that identifies the tea partiers, kooks, and extreme right wingers as unsuited for gun possession and ownership. We could sell all of THOSE guns to the Taliban, elect another republican president, then start a few more wars, and live happily never after.

No Motor, Bush's program actually had tracking devices, worked with the mexican govt and had ended. Obama's program had no tracking devices and was done unknown to the mexican government.

The good news is Obama has proposed a no-carry zone within 1000 ft of schools as part of his gun control "program". Keep reminding me how intelligent he is, so difficult to tell otherwise.

I can only guess what Holder's motive were. The reason Obama's program was so short is because even THEY could see it was completely FUBAR.
It is UNCONSTITUTIONAL for O. to use Executive Orders to override constitutional rights and Congressional legislation. The EO re work permits is unconstitutional. Ditto for States to regulate illegal immigrants by ILLEGALLY ISSUING DRIVERS LICENSES. So now O. talks of using an EO to regulate guns. WILL NOT STAND. He's ASKING for Supreme Court REJECTION OF EXECUTIVE ORDERS and insistence that our laws be respected.
Jeff 10:17: Please see 8:01 above. Supposedly O. has increased deportation of VIOLENT illegals. There is so much crime for cash so illegals can pay their rent..... So if you're illegal and anyone in your household has possession of a gun, YOU'RE ALL OUT of here PRONTO, top of the deportation list. We need some sort of administrative process that all related are also blacklisted--no more of friends and family of one illegal who does a year stateside in the Army get free passes. And add in that if any relative is caught stealing SSN's or any other form of I.D. theft, they all go to the top of the deport list.
MotorSports: Where do I mention self-deportation? I do support serious penalties for EMPLOYERS OF ILLEGALS. Stop providing social welfare and stop providing employment so they don't come here in the first place. Start enforcing the Constitutional requirements for citizen ship and REGULATE immigration. STEP ONE: If mommy was here illegal, baby is NOT a citizen. Deport the entire family whether or not several of the kids were born here. Sure, there are some who've been here decades who don't have to be the first focus of deportation--but we also DON'T NEED to approve of or condone long-time residents who came here ILLEGALLY. Take immediate action on pregnant parents, chronically sick who are stealing our health care, and VIOLENT illegals--but send the entire family out of here so there is less incentive to return to catch up with Mama.
Motor: By prioritizing the most violent, do NOT restrict deportation in any form on anybody else--allow officials to move on any and every illegal without endless administrative reviews. EXPEL instead of deport, expel with only transportation out of here, reserving formal deportation proceedings for illegals who can show they entered the country legally but overstayed their welcome.
@Motor, your correct, what's 300 dead in Mexico to Holder. It only comes up when that Border Patrol fella's family squawks about him getting shot by Obama's DOJ provided assault rifles. The ones without the RFIDs.
@JeffFromVegas...I think you misunderstood her. When she says "Deport all illegals with guns," she must mean make sure all illegals we deport have a gun.
Otherwise she is supporting not deporting unarmed illegals.
Actually, my money is on the woman not knowing what it is she means, other than the only acceptable way to vocalize her racism is through talk of deporting illegals.
