The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified a pedestrian struck by a car and killed Friday night on Tropicana Avenue as Yamel Moreno, 35, of Las Vegas.
Moreno had been crossing Tropicana, between Decatur Boulevard and Cameron Street, at 11:40 p.m., Metro Police said. He was outside a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a 2003 Lexus GS 300, police said.
Moreno was transported to University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. The coroner’s office said Moreno died from a blunt force trauma to the chest.
