San Francisco Giants pitcher Sergio Romo is facing a misdemeanor summons in Las Vegas alleging he violated airport rules after being detained by authorities at McCarran International Airport on New Year's Day. The federal Transportation Security Administration issued a statement Thursday saying Romo failed to provide proper identification at a document checkpoint and engaged in a dispute with TSA officers about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Officer Jose Hernandez said Las Vegas police issued the 29-year-old Romo a summons to appear in Las Vegas Justice Court. His court date wasn't immediately available. He apologized for his actions. Face the judge and accept the punishment. Then we move on.
It's not difficult getting thru a security check. Be polite, do as asked, show your ID and ticket and you'll likely breeze thru. If they want to do a secondary search of your carry-on, so be it. I do it 5 times a year. Easy peezy. Oh yeah, also get to the airport in plenty of time so you aren't caught in a line that's going to inflate your blood pressure.
I'm sure he pulled the "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM??" card. What a loser.
I bet they picked him as random for security reasons, not to mention he looks mid-eastern with that beard. The truth is TSA officials are merely securing their job by doing these follow up checks.
I will tell you there is no such thing as a paper bomb, but they examine your bags as if there is and if there was it would not be able to breech the cabin, anyway good luck Sergio, don't fight the law.
