Nicki Minaj at Pure on NYE 2012
Singer, actress and new “American Idol” judge Nicki Minaj celebrated New Year’s Eve by hosting a celebration Monday night at Angel Management Group’s nightclub Pure in Caesars Palace.
Minaj arrived about 11:30 p.m. in a blonde wig and dressed head-to-toe in gold, from a tight gold dress to gold platforms and gold accessories. She looked absolutely stunning, possibly the best she’s ever looked on a red carpet.
While posing for photographs on the red carpet, she said that her New Year’s resolution was “I’m not buying anymore shoes” and that, in 2013, she looks forward mostly to “my clothing line and working on my third album.” She talked about why she came to Las Vegas to celebrate: “Vegas is symbolic of New Year’s Eve … it’s just an exciting place to be for New Year’s Eve.”
Inside, the Justin Bieber “Beauty and a Beat” collaborator got on the mic and began the countdown to 2013 on the outside terrace and donned a blue leather jacket in the chilly night. When the clock struck midnight, Minaj greeted everyone with “Happy New Year” and a champagne toast amid the fireworks above the Strip, which contributing photographer Tom Donoghue shot from “fireworks central” atop the Rio.
After the fireworks, Minaj was escorted back inside to a VIP table in the main room and partied with her large group of friends, family and boyfriend Scaff Beezy. After 1 a.m., she walked to the main stage and got on the mic to wish everyone a “Happy New Year” again and then performed her hits “Moment 4 Life” and “Starships.”

Transport yourself to the opulent and excessive Roman Empire at Caesars Palace. But the ever-changing Caesars Palace is far from ancient. The hotel and casino is constantly raising the bar for what visitors can expect in a Vegas resort experience.
Caesars Palace features 3,348 rooms and suites in five towers, including the new luxury boutique Nobu Hotel and Restaurant, which opened Feb. 4, 2013, in the totally remodeled Centurian Tower. Caesars features 129,000 square feet of gaming space, including the Strip’s largest poker room and a 250-seat sports book. Other amenities include about two dozen restaurants, a four-level shopping mall, four pools, a spa, Pure and Poetry nightclubs and Pussycat Dolls.
Dining options include restaurants from world-renown chefs Guy Savoy, Wolfgang Puck, Bobby Flay, Gordon Ramsay and, on Feb. 4, 2013, Nobu Matsuhisa.
You never know what characters you’ll run into at Caesars with regular performers like Jerry Seinfeld, Bette Midler, Elton John and maybe even the emperor himself.
