Police identify slain woman found in alleyway

A woman killed and later found in a downtown Las Vegas alleyway in November has been identified as Christine Ray, 50, of Las Vegas.

Ray was found dead near 10th Street and Stewart Avenue on Nov. 8. Metro Police homicide investigators said the body was placed in the alley between 1 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. that day.

Ray also went by the names of Carla Pope, Christine Wright and Christine Kay Farias.

Police are still investigating the incident and urge anyone who had contact with Ray during October and November to contact Metro Police at 702-828-3521, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or visit crimestoppersofnv.com.
