Coroner identifies 3 people killed in Henderson car wrecks

The identities of three people killed in two separate traffic crashes in Henderson on New Year’s Eve have been released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

The victims in the first wreck were identified as Fredrick Vezinau, 74, and Cecelia Vezinau, 72, of Henderson.

Henderson Police said a 74-year-old woman driving a Toyota Camry the wrong way on Boulder Highway collided with the Vezinau’s vehicle near Galleria Drive about 10 a.m. on Dec. 31. The driver of the other car was driving south in the northbound lanes, police said.

The victim in the other crash was identified as June Beasely, 91, of Boulder City, the Coroner’s Office said. The accident happened about 2 p.m. on Boulder Highway at Greenway Road, police said.

A Toyota Corolla driven by a 64-year-old woman was turning onto Boulder Highway from a shopping center parking lot when she crossed the path of a Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by a 29-year-old man, police said.

Beasely, who was a passenger in the Toyota, was transported to Sunrise Hospital, where she later died from her injuries, officials said.

Henderson ended 2012 with 18 traffic fatalities.
