Man arrested in strangling death of family member

A man wanted in connection with a strangling death in Las Vegas was arrested Wednesday in Los Angeles, Metro Police said.

The suspect, Christopher Henderson-Reid, 27, of Las Vegas is accused in the death of a family member during an argument early Wednesday at an apartment complex in the 6500 block of Boulder Highway, police said.

Officers, who were called to the apartment about 3:50 a.m., found the body of a man who apparently had been strangled, police said.

Police obtained a warrant for the suspect’s arrest on a count of murder. He was picked up later the same day in California with the help of the Los Angeles Police Department, authorities said.

He is awaiting extradition at the LAPD Metro Detention Center.
