Coroner IDs man shot to death near UNLV campus

A man who was shot in the head and killed near UNLV last week has been identified as 20-year-old Quenshon Dontray Jackson, the Clark County Coroner’s Office said.

Two men are thought to be involved in the Friday slaying, but Metro Police Officer Marcus Martin said there may have been more people in a getaway vehicle.

The shooting was reported about 11:40 a.m. near East Harmon Avenue and Spencer Street. Jackson was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police are looking for two black men who were in a white Dodge Durango last seen heading north on Escondido Street after the shooting, officials said.

One suspect was wearing a dark shirt and had braided hair, and another was wearing a white hoodie, police said.
