Randall Walker, the director of the Clark County Department of Aviation since 1997 who oversaw dramatic growth in facilities and technology at McCarran International Airport, will retire in June.
Walker, 59, is capping a 34-year career in administrative and financial positions with Clark County and the city of Las Vegas. He sent a letter to Clark County Manager Don Burnette announcing his plans to retire June 3.
County officials haven’t announced a successor, but it’s expected that Walker will recommend his current deputy director, Rosemary Vasiliadis, to the position.
