Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale Tour stop at MGM Grand Garden Arena on June 25, 2011.

A new proposal for pop princess Britney Spears’ planned Las Vegas residency has been suddenly thrown into the mix, Vegas DeLuxe has learned exclusively. Negotiations are continuing with Caesars Entertainment for a 35- or 45-show run of weekend shows over two years at PH Live in Planet Hollywood.
But now at the 11th hour, a nightclub group wants to sign Britney for one of its venues opening later this year on The Strip -- and monetary terms apparently are not a problem. This weekend, there were hush-hush meetings and an inspection of the nightclub venue to see if the space’s logistics could be made to handle the scope of a concert-theatrical production.
Executives have a “big interest” in Britney tailor making a nightclub show as the first of a number of continuing and rotating intimate mini-concert performances by pop stars. I also have learned that Britney would host special VIP party events as the discussions continue.
The nightclub deal would reportedly match and exceed the PH Live offer, but I'm hearing that Britney will make the final decision between the two opportunities now being discussed.

MGM Grand, a AAA Four Diamond resort, offers 5,044 rooms and suites.
MGM Grand features KÀ by Cirque du Soleil; Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club; and world-class entertainment at the Grand Garden Arena and Hollywood Theatre.
The resort offers signature restaurants by celebrity chefs including Tom Colicchio’s Craftsteak, Emeril Lagasse’s New Orleans Fish House, Wolfgang Puck’s Bar & Grill and Michelin three star and Forbes Five Star restaurant, Joël Robuchon.
As part of its ongoing “Grand Renovation,” MGM Grand has remodeled all rooms and suites in its main tower and is adding several new experiences to its lineup including Hakkasan Las Vegas Restaurant and Nightclub, a new upscale dining/nightlife concept (coming in April 2013).
MGM Grand also features a state-of-the-art, non-smoking conference center, the Grand Spa, Cristophe Salon, "CSI: The Experience" and an inviting pool complex featuring the tantalizing daylife of Wet Republic.
Upscale accommodations include The Mansion, an exclusive hotel within the hotel; the luxurious two-story SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand; and The Signature at MGM Grand, a luxury all-suite, non-gaming hotel located adjacent to the main resort.
Catering to the young and modern crowd, Planet Hollywood is a one-stop shop for entertainment with its massive shopping mall, slew of restaurants, spacious casino and clubs.
The ambiance of the casino is retro-chic meets high-tech with black granite floors throughout and colorful LED lights throughout the space. The theme carries into the 100,000 square-foot casino with 250 flat screens topping off slot machines. The casino is also home to 87 tables, a sports book and a poker room.
There's also the Miracle Mile Shops, one Vegas' largest malls, with 140 stores including BCBG Max Azaria, bebe, Urban Outfitters and The Discovery Channel Store.
Following an afternoon of shopping, guests can satisfy their appetites at one of the gourmet restaurants in Planet Hollywood, like the non-traditional approach to steakhouses at Strip House or check out the exotic Far East motif at KOI restaurant and lounge. And if guests are still looking for more, they can spend the after hours at Privé, Triq or Krave nightclubs.
Perhaps one of the resorts biggest attractions came in March with the addition of "Peepshow." The naughty twist on the story of Little Bo Peep is modern-day spin on the run-of-the-mill Vegas topless review. The "Peepshow" stage has seen visiting celebs like Scary Spice Mel B, "Dancing with the Stars" Kelly Monaco and Playboy's Holly Madison.

is it hakasan
Don't think it's Hakkasan since they are more DJ heavy oriented and they are opening this April, not later this year. It's probably LIGHT at MBay.
"I'm hearing that Britney will make the final decision between the two opportunities now being discussed."
You are aware that she is under permanent legal and personal conservatorship, and it is thus literally impossible for her to make a final decision?
Whoever hires her will need to put enough of a stage show around her, with enough 'backup' dancers and smoke machines, to hide the fact that she is lazily miming the songs and waving her arms. There will be no "intimate concert" experience. Her microphone is turned off the entire time, except for a "Hello Las Vegas!" at the beginning and a "Good night!" at the end.
My suspicion is that anyone with the kind of money needed to pay her is going to do the research and learn that they can't expect a functioning entertainer. They get a built-in fanbase that has learned to live with low expectations, but the ceiling is pretty low after that.
This is likely a rumor created by her management to put pressure on the original bidder, who was probably asking for more insurance and guarantees than BritneyCorp was willing to provide.
