Social trip-planning website Gogobot announced the food and dining portion of its Travelers’ Favorite Awards today, with three Las Vegas eateries among the honorees.

Voting for the awards was open to Gogobot’s 2.5 million registered users, who selected the winners from the more than 60,000 places visited by those users and travelers in their networks.

The Earl of Sandwich may be a chain restaurant, but its Planet Hollywood location in Las Vegas won the top spot for the “Best Cheap Eats” category, as well as second place for “Best Family Restaurants.”

Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Las Vegas took the No. 2 spot in the “Most Loved Restaurants” category, just below New York’s Shake Shack.

Off-Strip favorite Lotus of Siam ranked 15th out of 20 in the “Best Family Restaurants” category.

Other award categories included “Most Romantic Restaurants,” “Best Brunch Spots” and “Most Loved London Restaurants.”

Following food favorites, Gogobot will announce other sections of the Travelers’ Favorite Awards recipients in coming months, including favorite destinations, hotels and attractions.

“Food and travel go hand in hand, and travelers who rely on Gogobot are as enthused about finding the perfect insider dining spot as they are about discovering the ideal secluded getaway,” Gogobot CEO and co-founder Travis Katz said in a statement. “The diversity of our results shows that Gogobot isn’t a one-size-fits-all service. Whether looking for the epic culinary experience of a French Laundry in Northern California or the sublime brisket of a Salt Lick BBQ in the Austin, Texas, area, our users can find the dining experience perfect for them based on the input of people they trust.”

Gogobot launched as a startup in November 2010 and allows users to connect through social-networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter to exchange travel recommendations and share experiences. The site and its app also provide personalized travel guides, discovery tools and direct hotel and restaurant booking through site partners like Expedia, Kayak and OpenTable.
