Rollover crash
Sun coverage
Two Las Vegas residents suffered critical injuries when the car they were riding in slammed into a palm tree and rolled over.
A 2007 Kia Rio was traveling down Charleston Boulevard around 9:15 a.m. Sunday when, for an unknown reason, the car drove onto the median and hit a tree just west of Cahlan Drive, Metro Police said.
The 23-year-old female driver and a 20-year-old male passenger were taken to University Medical Center. Police said the crash is under investigation.

The way Metro works? They will find the tree at fault!
Update: the tree has been put on administrative leave with pay pending an investigation.
Did the car roll over or did the palm tree roll over?.
