Accident Two
Two pedestrians were struck by cars Thursday night in separate incidents in the Las Vegas Valley, Metro Police officials said.
The first collision occurred around 6:50 p.m. outside Siegel Suites near the 5200 block of Craig Road. A man in a wheelchair was struck by a car and later transported to University Medical Center unconscious, police said.
Metro is investigating the incident.
Later in the evening, a car hit a homeless man outside the Encore resort on the Las Vegas Strip. Police received reports of the accident around 7:30 p.m. Police said the man had run into the middle of the street toward the hotel when the car struck him.
The man was taken to UMC with nonlife-threatening injuries. Police said the accident was the pedestrian’s fault.
