A man found dead after a 72-year-old man told police he shot at burglars in his house has been identified as Anthony Guerra, 27, the Clark County Coroner’s Office reported.
The elderly man called police about 7:50 a.m. Monday to say his house was being burglarized, Metro Police said. He grabbed a handgun and fired when the intruders tried to enter his bedroom, police said.
Guerra was found dead in the backyard from a gunshot wound to the chest, the coroner’s office said. A handgun was found nearby, police said.
As another man was trying to flee, he slammed his vehicle into an arriving squad car and was taken into custody, police said. A third man ran away during the confusion, police said.
The investigation is ongoing, but no charges are expected to be brought against the homeowner, police said.
Police said the resident had been the victim of a previous burglary within the past month.

That is what a firearm is for my fellow Americans.
Bang, bang! They come in the house to steal, they get shot dead.
Let's see if there are lessons to learn here.
1) Don't break and enter.
2) Keep a gun with you and fire when needed.
This is why home invasion is basically rare in the USA compared to Britain and Democrats want to steal your guns, to protect their constituents.
