An 81-year-old woman died Tuesday, a day after crashing into a truck on Cheyenne Road near the U.S. 95 North off-ramp.
The collision occurred about 12:50 p.m. Monday, Nevada Highway Patrol officials said. Las Vegas resident Lupe M. Rangle, 81, was traveling east on Cheyenne Avenue in a Oldsmobile Cutlass when she ran a red light at the U.S. 95 North off-ramp intersection, officials said.
At the same time, a Dodge Ram pickup truck was exiting the highway and had entered the intersection on a green light, police said. Rangle crashed into the front of the truck, officials said.
Troopers found Rangle unconscious in her car. She was transported to Mountain View Hospital, where she died just after midnight, officials said.
