A man died Friday after he was punched in the face during a barbecue he was attending in the courtyard of an apartment complex, Metro Police said. The incident happened about 9 p.m. in the 2900 block of East Charleston Boulevard, police said. The initial investigation revealed that two males began shouting at the victim before one of them punched him in the face, police said. Details on the number of times the victim was struck were not available. The man was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
