Authorities have identified a female inmate who died last week at the Clark County Detention Center.
Clark County coroner's officials say 45-year-old Kathy Renee Priest of Las Vegas died of hanging on Friday. The case has been ruled a suicide.
Police say they were conducting a routine check of cells around Friday when they found Priest unresponsive. Attempts to revive her failed, and she was pronounced dead a little after noon.
Priest had been in custody since Dec. 10 on a parole violation.
