Our government has no conscience

I cannot fathom how badly the government does business, or how stupid it thinks the taxpayers are.

Not long ago, it was reported that General Motors was investing billions building factories in China. Recently, it was reported that the last of the government’s GM stock was sold. The total loss to the taxpayers for bailing out GM was $10.5 billion. I guess it could have been worse, and if the government had not stepped in, China would not have gotten the new jobs for its citizens.

There is absolutely no conscience on the part of the government, and we have come to expect nothing different, but why do citizens who claim to be progressive rejoice when the government dumps our money down a rat hole?
