UNLV's two-game winning streak should turn into three in a few hours after facing Sacred Heart (2-9) at the Thomas & Mack Center. The game tips at 7 p.m. and will stream on UNLVRebels.com via the Mountain West Network.
The Rebels (5-4) didn’t have any problems after the first eight minutes against Radford on Wednesday, when they won 81-62. The players all seem to be looking forward to the quick turnaround and the chance to play another game so quickly. However, we’ll see if fatigue factors in for any of them.
That’s unlikely tonight, though it may became a factor on Sunday or Monday when the Rebels shift over to Orleans Arena for their final games before taking a break for Christmas. Those games should also present a few more challenges as far as actual on-court play, too.
Tonight is another game the Rebels should breeze through, their third in a row. That doesn’t mean it will be over immediately but UNLV, even with its faults, is by far the superior team.
Bern’s prediction: The Rebels’ goal is for another one-sided affair with no injuries and little doubt about the outcome in the second half. I think they’ll get it. UNLV 78, Sacred Heart 58
Season: ATS 6-3, O/U 6-3
