Hit-and-run accident on Nellis Boulevard
A motorist struck and killed a pedestrian tonight before driving away, police said.
The pedestrian, described as a middle-aged woman, was heading west on Nellis Boulevard at Cedar Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. when she was hit by a small white car heading north at the intersection, Metro Police Lt. John Liberty said. She was using a crosswalk.
The intersection remains blocked off while investigators examine the wreck site.
