Crash
A father was cited for jaywalking this afternoon after his three children were struck by a motorcyclist along Las Vegas Boulevard.
The man was not using a crosswalk when he and the kids were crossing Las Vegas Boulevard North at Lamont Street about 4:30 p.m. around sunset, Metro Police Lt. Mark Reddon said. A motorcyclist who was traveling south on Lamont reportedly tried to stop to avoid hitting the children head-on, skidding sideways into the pedestrians.
All three children were rushed to University Medical Center. Two of the them, ages 6 and 10, may have broken a leg, Reddon said. The third child, 9, suffered from what appeared to be a head injury.
None of the children were critically injured.
