Motorists driving from Southern California to Las Vegas may encounter slowdowns near the Nevada border through Friday, according to the California Department of Transportation.
Severe storms with flash flooding over the weekend have damaged some roadways in the Low and High Desert regions, causing closures and repair work, officials said. Similar weather is forecast through Friday.
U.S. Route 95 from Interstate 40 to the Nevada line is open with traffic control, officials said.
