Coroner says 2 people found in desert died in homicide-suicide

Two people whose bodies were found in the desert in the northeast valley Friday night died in a homicide-suicide, the Clark County Coroner’s Office reported.

The bodies were found about 9:45 p.m. Friday with a vehicle in the desert three miles east of Hollywood Boulevard, near Lake Mead Boulevard, according to Metro Police.

Sinthia Stephanie Cruz, 22, was found seated in the vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. Her death was ruled a homicide by the coroner.

Angel Omar Cruz, 25, was found outside the vehicle with a gunshot wound to the chest. His death was ruled a suicide by the coroner.

Metro Police connected the shooting to a call regarding a domestic dispute in which a female, later determined to be Sinthia Cruz, was taken from her east valley home by an ex-boyfriend, Angel Cruz.
